Last Film You Saw

The Lighthouse.

Very weird film, exploring alcoholism and probably a bit of homoeroticism.

The two lead actors Defoe and Pattinson were excellent, I thought, but the film itself leaves you wondering - what the fuck just happened.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a Lars von Trier film.
I loved it. Creepy as fuck.
Dafoe is a masterful actor.

That's a great list mate, one of my favourites on there is Waves.
I recommend to other A24 films, The Lighthouse and The Witch.
Also I'm surprised The Revenant isn't on there ,

I thought The Witch was a pile of shit. Ralph Ineson was and always will be Finchy from The Office
Fair enough.
I think it's one of those films the either grabs you or doesn't.
90% on rotten tomatoes though.

When I saw that Ralph was in it I was expecting something lesser. But Robert Eggers is a masterful director.
I feel that as you watch the movie you are sucked into that time and that place.

In all honesty I can put aside the actor I’m not that shallow. The film almost got me but the goat and the ending, just made it a no for me.

Watched mother! the other night with Javier Bardem and Ed Harris. That was fucking mental. I thought that was crap.
