Last Film You Saw

Rocky 4:Rocky vs Drago directors cut, it’s the same but very different, a lot of the jingoism is gone and there’s around 40 mins of new footage put it and 40 taken out. Gone is the daft robot and it’s got a slightly more serious edge to it, both fights are a bit more brutal. The training montages and music are still there but it’s a better film for the changes. Love the franchise apart from 5 and I’m giving it a 9/10.

I watched that movie once and I felt like I was watching a musical

House of Gucci

Really enjoyed it. I don't know how true they stayed to real life events but it felt authentic enough. Not sure how authentic Jared Leto was as Paolo Gucci but he definitely provided some comedic moments. In fact there were some great funny moments in it (heard people in the cinema laughing a few times) to which Al Pacino also contributed. Adam Driver and Lady Gaga were superb, they'll probably both get nominated for an Oscar. It's long but I was into it enough that I barely noticed.

8/10

Last Night in Soho
2021
Started off good but turned into barmy shite with dead people coming back to life etc.
What a waste of a possible good movie.
4/10

Old Henry.
A quiet man and his son take in a wounded stranger near his homestead, along with a bag full of cash. The stranger claims he's a sheriff being pursued by outlaws, but the man can't be sure.
Worked out who tho old man was and loved the movie from start to finish.
Builds up to a brilliant climax and if you love a Western give it a go.
9/10 but if Westerns are not your thing a steady 7.

Last Night in Soho

Fantastic surreal psychological thriller. Brilliantly acted, well structured, great pacing. I get the feeling this was taken from the writers ideas and realised in film exactly as fantasticly as it originally was in their head.

If you get the time, give this a go.
