Plot: Eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of events due to a malevolent influence of a passing comet.

Without giving too much away, if you like sci-fi thrillers like Timecrimes (2007), Triangle (2009) & Predestination (2014), with themes of dopplegangers, multiverse, time-bending mindf*cks, murder & mayhem, then this lo-fi budget film is right up your street, get it watched!

Score: 8/10

Trivia: The directors didn't give the actors any scripts or tell them what events were about to unfold in the movie so that they could film their genuine reactions as they ratchet up the tension.

I love this film. I'm going to have to watch it again.

Over the years I've probably seen less than ten comic book/superhero films. They are not my thing at all. However, I do like Joachim Pheonix. It was on tv the other night so gave it a go. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Pheonix is quite excellent in it.

Play Misty For Me - 7.5/10

Clint Eastwood directorial debut where he plays a radio DJ who is stalked by a jealous stabby insane woman. Watching now it doesn't have the same impact that it would've had in 1971 when the material was more fresh. It's still pretty great. I especially liked the cinematography and choice of locale (Carmel beach), and the music. A romantic interlude set to Roberta Flack's First Time Ever I Saw Your Face is especially nice. And there is some decent suspense and jump scares. It is kind of a slow burn that builds in intensity.

Anything under 8 is disrespectful to Any Clint Film

The Untouchables. A great film with Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Andy Garcia. Set during prohibtion in Chicago, with Elliot Ness (Costner) trying to bring down Al Capone (De Niro) with all the police corruption going on during that time.
