The Untouchables. A great film with Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Andy Garcia. Set during prohibtion in Chicago, with Elliot Ness (Costner) trying to bring down Al Capone (De Niro) with all the police corruption going on during that time.

And one scene 'inspired' by Battleship Potemkin

It has its fair share of haters. But for me it's a decent film.
Enjoyed for what it is, it's pretty unsurpassed in its genre.
No other film does aerial combat cinematography as good as this.

The banshee of Iniserin: 6/10.

Its not bad, just very slow moving. Lots of dark Irish humour. Its simplicity means it can run parallels with more deeper meaning.
It will be a marmite with movie buffs.

Much better than I thought it was going to be, still pretty cheesy but no more so than the original which I didnt really like.

I love it and think it's tremendously influential, but Hopkins overacts terribly in it. Still, it made him, 20 years previously he lived in London digs and was envious of his flatmate John Levene's regular role in early 70s Doctor Who. How times change!

Jodie Foster is great in it, and I think there are clear influences from this on The X Files in particular.

Overacts? I can't agree with that.
He's playing a psychopath, and he plays it perfectly.
He was brilliant in this role, and no one has done it better since.
His delivery of the lines one on one with clarice are superb.
