Last Film You Saw

Obviously a commercial decision with films like the Jurassic series. Not so sure there will be many kids desperate to go and see Dunkirk.
Nolan said he made a conscious decision so that young kids would be able to watch and be educated by it. At this rating it would be an option to be shown in schools in the future.
I was wrong about Jurassic Park. Just looked it up. The 12a rating was introduced in 1989.

The Wave a pretty decent Scandi disaster movie 7/10. Worth a watch.

Batman Dark Knight Rises. 7/10 Entertaining enough but a bit long and left me a bit non plussed by the end. It was ok but I was a little disappointed.

Really ?

No way should a 12 year old be watching that imo.

Because it's about one man and his incredible spirit, belief and courage. It's not really about the slaughter of the soldiers, although obviously that is his reason for being there in the first place. I don't think it was particularly gratuitous in its depiction of battle, just a good portrayal of the brutality of it. At the end she didn't mention the death and destruction, just talked about him and how people can make a difference.

I've just got back from Dunkirk. I'd say without hesitation and reservation this is the best film I've ever seen. Incredibly tense and moving from beginning to end. Gripping throughout.
I walked out in tears and could barely speak for 10 minutes after. It's as much
a work of art, as a film. The sound is like a beating pulse through the film.
Go and see this film! 10/10.
