Last Film You Saw

Just trying to watch Independence Day: Resurgence, and i just can't do it. The first was a typical blockbuster but it had just enough substance to keep you emotionally invested somewhat. It also had a reasonably orginal feel to it. The trope is well trodden but it was still fresh enough.

This one is just devoid of anything the original had. There is the "China financed this film so pander to them" nonsense. I am not expecting Dead Mans Shoes level grit here but a bloody loreal model stepping out of a jet swishing her hair hammers home the tedious cash grab this film is. The actors are often annoying characterless voids with "one dimensional" stamped onto them.

The nostalgia factor with Brent Spinner and the cast they got back from the first is the only bit that stirs any emotion and even that is thin. The plot has holes in it bigger than the ones in my socks to boot, get it, boot, sock... ahh you misserable sods.

tl;dr Forgettable dross is what this is, shite!

Just watched film called On The Rocks starring Bill Murray, it's quite new, out this month but I wouldn't bother if I was you. Drab and predictable like one of those daytime TV movies.
Bill is quite good, he always is when he plays himself.
4/10

I also watched a film on YouTube from 1979 starring Charlie Sheen called Eagles Wing, a western film, cowboys and Indians and such, it was a very interesting take on a western movie. I've never really seen one like it, almost a comedy in parts it's quite strange, cinematography was brilliant if you like those wide open spaces in America with a mountainous backdrop. Id recommend this film I think most people would enjoy it id never even heard of it before today.
7.5/10

Woke early this morning, so I stuck Law Abiding Citizen on. Its okay. Love the line when they found Darby's decapitated remains;

"Good news; we've found Darby. Have to say though, he's looked better".
