Last Manchester-born player to score for us?

It isn't but it's part of Greater Manchester and it's six and a half miles from Mersey Square to the Etihad, which is three miles less than Wythenshawe
Pity towns and Cities are measured by bounderies and not distance from City centres.
Stockport isn't and never has been a part of Manchester.

Again, just change the question to “last academyplayer who played through every youthlevel at City, to score for us” .

If you are willing to count friendly's then this answer to this is George Evans (he did play competitively for us but only scored in a friendly i think)

Are we including own goals when playing against City?

(I don't know the answer if so, I'm just being awkward).

He's obviously not technically from Manchester.

But Reddish is about as close to the Etihad as you can get, outside of Manchester (and as previously mentioned, much closer than some parts of Manchester).
Far as I know , Phil Forden's family are from Bridge Hall / Adswood area of Stockport , and he grew up around Edgeley . I did see a video clip he did, talking about his junior school, and he said it was Bridge Hall .
