Obviously the system is flawed because if goals were either given/not given and players were sent off/not sent off, the complex of the game would change, but an interesting piece of trivia nonetheless.

How the f**k did he work out we should have lost 9 points?

The only bad call i can remember is one of the goals at blackpool was offside?

I can work out just from memory the rags should be minus 6 and that's not checking ever game, the dodgy goal from nanny from the spurs game then the time rat face should of been sent off and a pen should of been given against sunerland oh another 3 points when little pea head fell over in the box the last game of the season

You were beaten to it:

I was getting some info last season from other teams' fans about how many penalties we were picking up. I just replied that only half of the penal offences were ever punished. The main point I always make about the course of a football match is the myriad of variables that are at play over the course of ninety mins (or 99 mins if MANUre are a goal down). A penalty that went unpunished doesn't mean a successful conversion, an offside given can't imply that the forward penalised would have gone on and scored. These tables are often constructed by folk who are unhappy with the one that enters the record book.

Exactly which is why it's trivia only. However, I'm sure if United had been "minus" 9 points the view on here would've been that the research is absolutely spot on!

I think it s only fair we should pop the team on the next RyanAir flight to Italy and play the return match against Udinese as we obviously didn t deserve 3 rd.
Come on Platini, get your finger out!
