Laurence Fox launches political party

A large proportion of the older generation in this country are inherently racist. Sad but true. Products of their time? Yes. I'm confident such tendencies will redress as our younger generation get older.

That’s no doubt true but I think a lot of older people use the excuse that racism was socially acceptable when they were young as a free pass to stubbornly refuse to moderate their language now.

I occasionally work with a guy, who isn’t even much older than me, who will quite often refer to black people as “coloured” Not the most hideous term around but still one that virtually everybody knows is no longer considered appropriate. I very politely pulled him on it once and asked him that although I’m well aware it was a commonly used term in the 70s, it’s no longer a term that most of us feel comfortable hearing these days, and has he not picked up on that at all in the last 40 years or so? He just mumbled something about “in my day” and made a point of using the word again the next time I worked with him.

I don’t even think it’s particularly a sign of overt racism. More just a stubbornness to prove they won’t be dictated to by modern standards. The same type of people who still call Deansgate train station, Knott Mill and call pubs by their old name 20 years after they changed to something else and pretend they’ve no idea what you’re talking about if you use the new name.

His actor father James abandoned the film industry for a while after becoming an evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christians are all vehemently pro-life as far as I know. So maybe his dad has influenced him when it comes to this issue. This might also explain why he appears to get on so well with his equally cuntish and ludicrous GB News fellow-traveller Calvin Robinson, whose stance on abortion is similar.

As an aside, James Fox’s performance as a gangland villain in the movie Performance is utterly mesmerising. The Happy Mondays sampled his dialogue in an eponymous song about the film. A viewing of it clearly demonstrates just how much ‘Lozza’ is the insignificant son of an illustrious father.
I think the whole Bummed album was based around the movie. Brilliant album with mad Martin at his best.
Laurence fox is a modern day bearded lady paraded out at the circus that is GBN.

I enjoy your posts mate, but I'm not sure the 280 character limit on twitter will suit you tbh ;-)

It’s a bit like trying to write haiku poetry.

But it can be done. For example, here is my homage to the famous one about the frog by Basho:

Still pond
‘Lozza’ Fox falls in
Hurrah!

Andrew Bridgen has found a political home with this nut job.
No surprise that the Holocaust trivialising anti-vax loon has latched on to someone with the same crackpot agenda.
