I hope you don't mind giving the man a separate thread, even though I know his name has been mentioned on several others already existing.

Anyway, - so we know he's not that happy at PSG and several reports suggesting they are willing to listen to offers comes January at around 14mil.
(One source of many with the same story: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/10/27/man-city-linked-with-14m-move-to-sign-unhappy-psg-forward-ezequiel-lavezzi/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/10/27 ... l-lavezzi/</a>)

I personally think he would be a great addition considering what he offers the team, is pretty much non-existing in out sqaud atm; pace, technique and drive together with his unparalleled work ethics should make him fit in nicely. He mainly operates on the left wing drifting in, a position we tend to use Nasri in, who is not a natural wide man.

Then of course it doesn't hurt that Kun, Zabaleta (and one other non-City Argie who goes by the name of Mess) are apparently very close friends, so Ezequiel would likely be very well taken care of and well received by his mated should he arrive here.

He's not very young (27), but nor is he too old. No serious injuries in the past.

What do you think; - Would he make us stronger, and would he be worth the reported transfer fee?

Would mean we could play something like this:

-------------------------- Hart -----------------------------
----------- Kompany ---------- Nastasic ---------------
Zabaleta --------------------------------------- Kolarov
------------- Yaya ------------------- Garcia -------------
-------------------------- Nasri ----------------------------
------- Silva ------------------------------- Lavezzi ------
------------------------- Aguero ---------------------------

Considering how hard of a worker Lavezzi is, we could use Kolarov more and utilize his left foot when called for.

This side to me, would be the best in the PL, and one among the top four in the world.
The movement of the three top guys ought to cause havoc for most defences.

And what about if we got DDR to take Garcia's position? ;)

Silva in Nasris position and Alexis Sandches out wide :)

i'm sure there must be a very good reason if a player that is showing not be good enough for PSG could be considere as our savior.

i'm sure that reason there must be. unfortunally i cant find it.

Would obviously be great, but I was trying to keep it a bit realistic. Sanchez might be open for a move, but not until the summer.<br /><br />-- Sat Nov 10, 2012 5:06 pm --<br /><br />

He's only just joined them and there's not a chance they'd sell him for 14m. Would be a great signing but I don't see it happening.

But what if he himself wanted out? Slapped in a t-request?

Not that they don't get along, it's just that an Ibra team is a bit of a one man team, almost everything has to go through Zlatan, as it has done so far this season. Certain PSG players not enjoying so much success on a personal level since moving there, despite the team (Ibra) winning.

And they loose when he's out of the team right?

How are the other players performing then, like Pastore for example? Is there a noticeable change from last season?

Certainly more subdued.

Pastore was moaning the other day that this season everything go through Menez and Ibrahimovic. He doesn't look too happy.

Michael Cox from Zonal Marking wrote article about Lavezzi and how Napoli's system made him look better than he really is. And similar with Pastore. Looks like he was right.

So Pastore and Lavezzi are not that special? My gut reaction is says I disagree.

I do see how Napoli's formation suited Lavezzi, but I see no reason why he wouldn't be equally suited for our kind of system. Let the man dominate the left side of the pitch, making his no-fear head-on runs, cutting inside creating a lot of space for Kun or other players.
