Battery. Get as many as you need to do the job in one fell swoop without recharging. We have two and just change over, if necessary.Electrical cheaper to run but the power cable has to be moved around constantly which takes up a lot of time
petrol powered no worries with power cable and in experience you get through twice as quick

I bought a Mountfield when I had the back lawn turfed in '89. Only lasted 29 fuckin years. And when I went to get it fixed I found it was obsolete! But I got another Mountfield. The only downside is that they are red!
