Just couldn't give us any credit on MOD the bitter bastard! Still think Liverpool are in the strongest position after us, so let's hope Birmingham do us a favour today. Thank will make a wicked Easter!

Re: Alan hansen

when did he say that?

he said we were in the position to be on motd

Re: Alan hansen

He knows in his heart that if the pool don't qualify for the chumps they're finished.
Torres and Rafa will be off and there's no money to spend for the new manager. Plus Gerrard and Carragher are not the players they were.

They're going to be scrapping for seventh place every season.

Re: Alan hansen

come on birmingham.....if we dont get 4th id rater spurs or villa get it.....really ram the "top 4" label back down5t the throats of some of the media and pundits who have had it the way they want it for far too long!

sorry I wasn't insinuating hansen said Liverpool were in the strongest position after us that was my opinion. Just meant he didn't give us any praise for scoring 6. 'still' was suppose to be a new paragraph.

Re: Alan hansen

Rather than any particular ant-City bias I just think Hansen and Lawrenson can see that if City (or Spurs) get 4th that could be the beginning of a big, big fall for Liverpool - the beginning of the end - and Lineker can't see past Spurs anyway.

There is always sparing and begrudged praise for City.

Re: Alan hansen

Shit I meant lawrenson!!! What a tool, think I'm still pissed! My own clarkie moment.

But hansen and Lawrenson were both defenders and rightly slated the Burnley defence who were absolutely shocking for the first half, and if we had gone in 8 or 9 up there could have been no complaints.
true we did exploit their weakness, but it was that great a weakness, as some of the burnley fans said on one of their boards, Accy Stanley would have fancied their chances at turf moor yesterday.

If it does come down to goal difference, spuds go there last day of the season and if that is how burnley play against us when they are supposedly scrapping for points, how many will dofoe lennon walcott crouch etc score there when burnley will already be down?

Just hope the hammers are safe before we go to Upron park.

all defences have to be awful to concede like they did..so Its no wonder that they pick on the defence..

has a team ever scored a hatfull of goals against a good defence ??

er..no, cos the act of scoring a hatfull proves that the defence wasnt very good that game..

but the same argument can be said for the team attacking..they wouldnt score a hatfull if they werent any good...
so I think we deserve better than what those idiots were prepared to give...which wasnt much..

funny how too when the scum beat wigan 5-0 at the swamp it was all rooney this rooney that scum this scum that..
fuckin creepybumarselickers.( ric the young ones the 80's)

Lawrenson, when asked at the start of the season on Football Focus, who would win the league, ruled City out. He then said that because of our riches he expected Manchester City to win the Premier League within the next three years.

To be honest, I don't mind Lawro but I'd wish he'd go and buy himself a new shirt. That blue stripey thing should only be used for decorating now.

watched match of the day this morning and after the city game the stats flash up shots on target etc im sure i seen pocession as 50 50 did they watch the same game as me

if any of you have sky+ the match of the day just look at lawrensons and hansens faces just before they move to the next game after their breakdown of city, every picture tells a story?
