Bolton Wanderers v Manchester City (1600 BST)

Both these sides started with 4-0 wins over newly-promoted sides but this is going to be a very different game.

Bolton thrashed QPR but they were facing a Premier League team who played like they were still a Championship team. Rangers gave them loads of chances, but Manchester City will not give them many.

Whether or not Sergio Aguero starts the game will tell us a lot about City boss Roberto Mancini. I was at the Etihad Stadium to see Aguero destroy Swansea, and Mancini said afterwards that he still needs to get to know his team-mates and is not fully fit.

But the only way to fix both those problems is by playing him, and he surely cannot leave him on the bench again after his performance on his debut.

Aguero was outstanding - and when he came on, the other players suddenly came to life. As a player, you know when someone is pure class and that was the reaction you saw in his team-mates.

We will have to wait and see what Mancini does with his formation in the future, because with Carlos Tevez still at the club and Samir Nasri seemingly on his way, there are a lot of players to fit in.

Mancini may well stick with his tried and trusted formula of two defensive midfielders sat into his back four, but City will have so many different people in front of them who can change games, and they might just have a little bit too much about them for Bolton.

Prediction: Bolton Wanderers 1-2 Manchester City

How the Premier League table would look like if Lawro's 2011-12 predictions were correct...

Sometimes I wonder whether Lawro ever actually played football, because he knows fuck all about it. The only way to get fit is to play 90 minutes on a pitch? Fuck off you old dick.

I guess Lawro didn't watch the game, most likley edited highlights. Man city shit all over Swansea from 20 minutes onwards.
We'd already hit the bar twice, hit the goalie 5 times and scored before Aguero came on.
Another deluded Red dipper.

He was at the ground!

Mind you, he could have been at the bar most of the night looking at the girth on him these days...

I think he has a point.

Most footballers would agree that when they are 100% physically fit then they are about 85-90% match fit. The other 10-15% of match fitness is gained by playing in competitive games (learning the tricks and the way that the team moves the fakes the false runs etc). Only then will 'Kun' be 100% match fit.

Remember when he predicted Swansea to beat us? Another so called "expert" who has no idea about football at all, 90 minutes the only way to get fit what a load of crap!

Without doubt, him and Alan Hanson were probably the best pair of centre backs I have ever seen in a team.
Too concede only 18 goals was it in 42 league matches, tells you how good they were.

Er no he didn't.

Lawro's ok and he nearly always tips us to win. I really don't see why people get so worked up about him.
It must have been another one of these "experts" on the Lawro prediction page on the BBC's website

Agree with both these posts. Some people on here seemed to have clobbered a few branches when they fell out of the paranoia tree!

They have Lawro and his predictions and every week they have a "celebrity" expert that predicts the score also.

Last week Samuel L "motherfucking" Jackson said that Swansea would beat us 0-1.
