Le Tour De France 2015

Yeah, the reporter said to G that the team doctor would be asking his name and d.o.b. to check for concusion. G said his name was Chris Froome and the worst thing was he had lost his glasses and they don't make them any more. Also said he was helped up by a nice French man and there were plenty of them around, maybe he should do Sky's P.R. Top man.

It was incredible he got back on his bike, but at the end of the race he should have been escorted straight to medics and stayed there - looked like he was in shock when he did those interviews. Plenty of time to do interviews tomorrow (if he feels up to it).

Sagan absolutely mustard again today. His team manager has come out with a few dodgy quotes this tour about Sagan's inability to win a stage, but that wouldn't do justice to his fantastic achievements this tour. Fully deserved green jersey, more so than say Griepel, even if he wins the last stage. I do like the alterations the organisers have made re the green jersey this year.

No Tour today. Withdrawal symptoms worse than football close season. Love the Tour so much - it pisses all over Wimbledon and golf. If it wasn't for City it'd be better than football!

Just watched the ITV4 retrospective on recent GB cycling - through the Wiggins and Froome era - Dave Braillsford and so on - brought a tear to my eye like the Sergio goal always does. Now a great documentary bit from the 70's - the history is amazing would love to see some more of this stuff - we only used to get it as a quirky bit on World of Sport with Dickie Davies poking fun - ignorant or what???

Thomas is a beast. And funny too as his interview and Twitter updates today show. A real people's rider. And I agree about Le Tour. I've said it before - City are my favourite team but Cycling and Basketball are my favourite sports. I can take or leave most other football matches that don't involve City. There's no doubt this is a golden era for British cycling.

Looking forward to the next four days, hoping for some 2011 Galibier/Alpe style long range action.

TJ abandons!

Meanwhile Movistar yet again riding for 2nd rather than trying to go for the win.
