Leaking Roof

hope one of you will know the answer to this. One section of my roof has a valley section. Over the last few years there has been a leak into the eaves. It looks like the water flows from what looks like a corrugated sheet of plastic that follows the valley (Travis Perkins call it a valley trough) which ends over the eaves. I assume it should end over the guttering and has either slipped or was cut too short.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Just googled it, that's called a soffit over here. Anyhow, the valley should run into the gutter. Any pics?

Just been up there in the rain and it looks like the flashing in the valley is the culprit. Trip to b&q I think. Wonder if it will stick if wet? Bloody hope so!

I used to design roof trusses 30+ year ago as part of a summer job.....when the girl on the current TV advert mentions, "when will I use Pythagoras", it came in pretty useful. Can't help OP though, I decided to move into IT.
