Pep may have picked the wrong side but the side he picked created 29 chances and managed to convert only 1 of them, problem wasn't the 11 it was our fucking finishing again :(
I did not think we were that bad, especially second half, but the lack of a quality striker shows in this type of gameChrist. Where do you start with that? I don't often get angry or over-react to wins or defeats, but I'm angry today. Not because we lost, that can happen anytime. It's how we lost. We seemed to play as if it was a testimonial game at times. Stones and Fernandinho aside, very few come out from that with credit. Several players need to take a long hard look at themselves. Hopefully that is a reminder to everyone that the league isn't done and it's a kick up the arse that we could have done without. Let's hold our hands up, learn from that shocker, consign it to the dustbin and then move on.
You haven’t been missed.
Theres quite a lot to be happy about this season so forgive some of us for not falling apart just because we lost a game.
In fairness though, they do quite well in the CL, we don'tAlso worth pointing out that Bayern (who have injuries already) have made 6 changes today and are drawing 0-0 with a mid-table side at half time.
It happens but it was the right thing to do.
not true. but SEVEN changes , one of which is Mendy is unforgivable. With respect, Bill makes it quite clear every week that he would play the strongest line up and make no changes even if it meant the same 11 for the whole season.
That kind of thinking is so outdated I’m shocked anybody still comes out with it.
Wasn’t Elland Road 1 1? How can it be 1 goal just as scored today?
It’s a fair point mate but we do this and then we still end up having to throw the cavalry on albeit not KDB or Dias. For me you get yourself into a winning position then pull them off. Im Probably just pissed off about the result but imo it was the wrong side to start
The Scousers still putting out full strength team, have they not got a mid-week fixture?
In fairness though, they do quite well in the CL, we don't
If that’s the case then the algorithms in the website are seriously flawed. By the standards he has set this season he was piss poor. Schoolboy stuff at the first and prone to giving away needless fouls.I'd agree with that back four but Cancelo actually was our top ranked player today on whoscored.com so perhaps he did more good things in the game than people think.
Hopefully mate, i was ok with that side today.........i wasn't ok with the players performance though, that's on them imo, not PepThen us copying their blueprint to rest players and focus on the Champions league makes sense then?
Yikes.Serial bottlers when they go behind. 8 losses from 10 when behind at HT.
The Scousers still putting out full strength team, have they not got a mid-week fixture?
Not really: Sterling had 51 of the attemps. That’s mental
Lol they're desperate for top 4 and have no room for error, every league game is a cup final, big difference. The Scousers still putting out full strength team, have they not got a mid-week fixture?
Must admit it was strange that Pep took over 10 minutes with Mendy playing left wing before swapping him with Foden.not true. but SEVEN changes , one of which is Mendy is unforgivable.
