Today’s approach was correct regardless of what happens. Looking after the squad gives us the best chance of competing for everything. That is an undeniable fact. Whether we win or lose the upcoming games, we stand a much better chance than if we didn’t rest players today.

That's pretty much what rag fans were saying about us in April 2012... when there were six matches left, and they were 8 points ahead of us.

What is the priority here for Pep this season
Champs league more important than the PL?

Isn't there an argument that today he should have gone full strength get 3 up and then rotate?
Leeds have been shipping goals for fun all season yet he picks a weak front line with out of form players who couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

If he emphaises to much importance on the CL is he risking losing the other 3?
Me personally I don't care about the CL and UEFA, others feel the same.
I want us to win the league.

Can you give one example in football history where a team bottles 14/8 points in 6 games, when the other "contender" has to play against the 3rd,6th and 7th team of the league?

Mathematically we haven't won it, but the chances are so slim, that it's more likely Aston Villa gets a UCL spot than we losing the PL.

I know he's only 17/18 but he played last night for the U23's so probably wouldn't be fit to play today.

Wasn’t discussing hypotheticals, was stating that people are quoting incorrect facts and they are.

If you watch the Rags you might agree that they have been playing to mid table standard most of the season. They won’t win all their league games left. Spurs, Liverpool and Leicester are all better teams fighting for top 4. Leeds are bitter rivals and likely to take

Weak front line... Sterling and Jesus have been part of our preferred front 3 for the majority of the season. You make it sound like he’s picked the U16s. Pep isn’t prioritising competitions, he’s maximising chances of winning both.
 
I am still convinced that 80 points will be enough to win the league, the rags can get 84 points but have Spurs, Leicester and the dippers to play in their last 8 games. And as today proves strange results can happen as the season come to an end.

We all want to win it as early as possible but weather we win by 1 point or 11 points you still get the same trophy.

Six draws gets us to the 80 point mark, so does 2 wins and 4 losses. Given our goal difference the Rags are going to need 81.

Therefore they need 7 wins and could afford 1 loss.

Be honest can you see us blowing up like that?
If anything today will be a blessing in the long run, it just reminds the squad that anything can happen in this league.
 
We had a chance to get 3 points nearer, if we win the premier we can rotate like fuck. We may not have won today with a full team but that goes for Wednesday as well.
