I can find no empathy at all for that bunch of neanderthal twats.

In them days, every team had their kicker. There was Norman Hunter at Leeds, Nobby Stiles at Man United, Peter Storey at Arsenal. And me at Chelsea. Funnily enough I never come across any of the others on the pitch. We tended to stick to our own halves, so we didn't usually meet.

But it wasn’t just Hunter at dirty Leeds; it was the whole fucking squad!

Nostalgic hate...

FA Cup Semi Final match at Hillsborough.
Leeds United 0 v Manchester United 0.
United's Pat Crerand grabs hold of Billy Bremner as Bobby Charlton tries to intervene and stop the two fighting. Denis Law is being pulled away from Jack Charlton by Bobby Collins as another fight threatens to break out during the heated semi final match betqween the bitter rivals.
27th March 1965.

Christ @Vienna_70 i didn't know there was a mob of you mobility scooter codgers with it in for them :-D

I admit seeing them in the 90's come up as this youthful happy clappy team did my head in. They pasted us early on in that era to so that double sucked. Everything was on the up for them...for a bit. Their good fortune seemed to be balanced in the universe by our downfall a bit i remember jokingly thinking.

You steradent munching old ****s hate them from before that right sir? Go on a nice anicdote from before my time is always welcome in chez teecee.
I don't hate Leeds because the players were dirty back in the 60s /70s
I hate them because of the more or less continuous trouble we had with their fans back in the 70s. I went to most City matches at Elland Road in those days and every single one involved running battles and skirmishes with Leeds fans from the moment we got there to the minute we left.
As I have said previously,I had more bricks and bottles thrown at me there than all other grounds combined. It was a long time ago, but that kind of nastiness sticks in your mind forever.
I think most of the older blues on here will agree with what I have just posted.
So Leeds United can fuck off to Division Two. The sooner the better.

“That kind of nastiness sticks” is the perfect summary of how I feel about them. Really snide violence. It’s my view that the attitude of the team on the pitch fuelled it.
