Leeds United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I agree, but I never forgot. The younger generation were saying the same about glad that were back. Absolute scum. I'll always remember them in the 90's even punching dads with kids coming out of the family stand at Maine Road shouting "too easy Manchester".

I don't remember them taking many liberties at Maine Road they usually got mullered.

Yeah I've never been a fan of their tactics for that sort of thing. Not all of their fans are cunts, but the ones that are cunts are some of the biggest and thickest cunts there are.
Should be their motto... "Leeds would have taken more cunts"

Nico O'Reilly could prove to be a top class box to box midfielder, with all the attributes and already integrated into the City team and play. Amazing player considering how young and inexperienced?

Yep, in time, he could be that player but he's not a left full back
Pep does make me shake my head at times, City have the money to buy proper world-class fullbacks or even the EDS youth players that play there every week should be given a chance, but he wants to prove he can polish a turd and make them world-class at fullback.

Pep make life so much easier for yourself by buying world-class fullbacks

Gvardiol only did two things wrong all game.

He was pinging balls out wide to the wings that a certain Liverpool one-time Ballon d’Or nominee centre back could only dream of, he scored, almost scored another, almost got an assist, and acrobatically got out of the way of the winning goal… he was mostly fine on a weekend that no team bar Newcastle played really well.

Don’t forget Deeney won’t have watched all 90mins of every game either.
There's only doing two things wrong all game and there's only doing two things wrong all game but one was a bad mistake to concede a penalty. Didn't think he covered himself in glory for the other goal either.

He's a quality player, nice to see us score from a corner, and he did very well to jump out of the way for Foden's goal.

What's your business plan for the club then - or what would you like to see happen specifically?
Let me answer your question differently. I was responding to Lavinda about Khaldoon where he said Khaldoon and the board had reneged on commitments - from memory I agreed with Lavinda and said I thought Khaldoon and Soriano and Wilson had all shat on the fans, and I utterly stand by that, big time. If you think they’ve not that’s your prerogative.

As for what’s my business plan, who the fuck are you to ask me that? I’m entitled (as a 66 years old first game in 1964, season ticket every year since 1972) to have a view and I expressed it, why do I now need a business plan?

What I would do is make season tickets available to all who want them (subject to premier league rules on away allowances, match day available allowances etc) and I would make them much cheaper. If fuck off the selling of tickets to third party ticket touting agencies. I’d make sure all the away tickets went to fans with loyalty points with some acceptance of some for corporate sponsors (5%?max). I’d accept the fact that the main body of income streams were tv and commercial income and therefore fucking off the half and halfers in favour of season ticket holders which would create a better atmosphere for better results, which brings more income. Oh and I’d fuck off that cheesy **** who shouts Erling…. 3 times after every Haaland goal.

Sorry if that’s not a detailed enough business plan but it’s all your fucking getting

Nunes and Nico Oriely are a major problem if they are the main fullbacks ? What happens if one of them picks up an injury or gets a red card and misses 3 games, You have to have a balanced squad and a base to work from
Both of them have been playing really well (in my opinion of course) and for me they aren’t the problem, the problem v dirty leeds second half, v the tarquin cunts second half, v spurs all game, is that we got dominated in the middle of the park and couldn’t get any control of the ball, at times like these Nico G needs more support. As to your question if the full backs get injured, at right back we have Khusanov and at left back we have Ait Nouri

They are both good players as cover, but when it comes to the mistakes they make in the bigger games, you will lose. We have the best manager and world-class players in about 80% of the team, so why gamble on the fullbacks

Yes, people are going to say, look what Pep's won without a left back ? But we had Walker's pace to cover the whole of the backline. We don't have anybody who can defend or is a defender by trade with the pace to cover anymore

Get 2 pacey wingbacks and this team could fly and win a lot of silverware

First half was great and could have been 3 or 4 up.

Second half we were sleeping and two very careless errors,

Firstly, that pass from Nunes, did he not see that passing it into a crowded area in the middle of the pitch would be risky? Just knock it long if it’s not on.

Gvardiol is so one sided and really misjudged that tackle.

I personally thought it was poor that Dias was telling Donnarumma to go down so they could have a tactics break.

Same answer, it’s not the deficiencies of the full backs that are causing us to be swamped in midfield

Jesus, I thought I was in the match day thread for a moment. Spoilt cunts all of you. This place gets worse every week.

I'll tell you what's funny though. The commentator's saying "You don't like to see players backing into the keeper" when Silva finally gets it "right" and complaining Donnarumma's injury was very suspicious during the in-game team talk.

Do they have no shame? Arsenal have been doing both for years, and winning games because of them. And now Farke and the BBC chiming in.

I sincerely hope they do change the rules because we have started doing it. I hate it all and it would screw up the PL's favoured champions this year. So it won't happen. How anyone can criticise us for doing it I have no idea. The PL is so fucking inept and obvious it's a joke.
Absolutely agree.

Weird how much we influence rule changes.
Qualifying for Europe.
FFP.
PSR.
VAR
Goalkeeper's being injured.
Being late coming out for the 2nd half.

Odd that we can have so much power.

Who are these world class full backs waiting to be plucked up?

Nunes and Nico have both been playing really well the last few games. They add a lot going forward and help overload the midfield. Also they both have decent pace and are one of the reasons teams cannot run straight through us this season.

O’Reilly is a great prospect and already a good footballer. Clearly, at the moment he is a stop gap lb, probably playing as Pep has doubts about RAN.
Nunes is athletic, quite quick and tries. That’s it though. He is nowhere near good enough. Be ok as backup but considering what we paid for him, we took a bath.
His continued errors are beyond embarrassing.
Great cross for Foden s goal. Ridiculous ball into midfield, gifting Leeds the ball on the edge of our area compounded by inexplicably passing to Calvert Lewin on the edge of our six yard box.
Doubt we could offload him but he needs to be replaced.
We need a right back and probably a left back as many on here have posted.
Not holding breath my though.

In a way, it is

The opponents can gamble with theirs by pushing them up and stopping ours. Pep sorted that one out by using both Doku and Savinho in the same game, but that has gone now and it's just Doku on the wing. The fullbacks are key to the attacking and the inverted fullback worked well, but again that has had to be put away because Nunes and Nico are not good enough to read the game like a fullback would.

The main problem is Haaland ? Everything was going through him and everybody was looking to feed Haaland at every opportunity. So some of the games this season have been Haaland Doku Savinho Foden all infront of the ball and our midfield. Also missed chances from the chances we created were very high and this didn't help

Pep's setup was very open and that's why the opponents' midfield flooded the park ? It was that we would try to outscore you ? again missed chances hurt us most

Let's hope that's the last we see of that calamitous defending that occured on Sat to gift Leeds their goals. The Nunes episode was particularly bad. He's improved considerably but a dedicated top notch RB would be very welcome.

That's for City and Pep to find ? They are out there, we just need to spend a little more on them

Nunes' mistakes happen a lot, sorry at the weekend it was shocking twice, Nico should never have let the ball bounce and once you let it bounce you're in trouble, like I said, make a mistake in the bigger and important games they cost you big time
