BBC reported earlier, that they are “back where they belong”. So when did they enter administration?

Like most City fans in the 70s I hated Leeds but have mellowed somewhat. I think Bielsa is brilliant and really hope he does well. I also think we should give their fanbase a break. They used to have a very racist and thuggish following but they have mostly got rid of the morons. Their modern day away following is superb. They were great in the FA Cup at the Etihad, amongst the best I have seen (Sheffield Wednesday were also excellent)
They also share a mutual hatred of the Rags which is another plus point. Like us, their fans have stuck with them through thick and a lot of thin. I wish them well next season, as long as we get six points off them of course.
They’re a one club city. Their support should have been MILES bigger than ours in the third tier but they averaged about 25k over the three years down there compared to our 28k in a smaller stadium. Manchester is about an eight club city, one of which is the biggest supported in the country who were winning everything when we were in the third tier.

Leeds must have the smallest match going support compared to clubs per head of population in their conurbation in the country.

Aren’t Derby in the same boat after shenanigans with selling their stadium back to themselves? Lol.

Yes m8 although I think their charge is price of the stadium sale and creative accounting around out of contract players. where as ours is price of stadium and putting the sale in the wrong year accounts.

I fully expect Derby to get off as Mel Morris is a clever man while Chansiri isn't

We lost Reid's first match in charge, after he took Mark Ward off penalty-taking duties, and his replacement - I cannot remember who it was - missed.

We later had a second, which Ward duly converted.

That would have been November 1990. Dirty Leeds won the title in the'91/92 season.

Mark Ward - had totally forgotten about him, weird when someone brings up a name you haven’t thought or heard about in 3 decades - scored a cracker if I remember on the first ever Monday night football televised game against QPR - off topic and for the record I’m in the F**k Leeds camp

I thought David White scored one that first Monday night game.
