Would anyone ever want Damarcus Beasley back? I know I want Ribery, Zhirkov or Young but what about a third option? I know with our squad right now it would be hard to get him on the field but what about a squad player to give speed down the flank from time to time. In certain occasions, his speed down one flank and SWP down the other would give teams fits.

Yeah I guess that is true, far better than Beasley too. I guess me pushing Onyewu should be enough. Can't have too many Americans on one team, otherwise we would be Fulham.

Is Downing an option as understudy to Petrov? Not his biggest fan but at club level he is okay and would give us left sided options.

Haha, touche'. But seriously, he is having a terrible time at Rangers and has fallen out of the good graces of Walter Smith and just wants to move me and my mother back to England.

We do need an understudy though. Beasley would be too old but someone in the 22 range would be great or someone like Ashley Young.
