Came across a tweet that said that Gundogan is the best German player in PL history.

That made me realize just how good we have been since the take over and how many truly wonderful players we have had.

Some players off the top of my head include:

- Silva is probably the best Spanish player in PL.
- Kun is the best Argentine in PL history.
- Fernandinho is arguably the best Brazilian.
- Kevin will go down as the best Belgian.
- As previously mentioned, Gundogan is the best German.

I'm sure there are more.

We've truly had some incredible players and have contributed heavily to the Premier League. History merchants can say whatever they want but there is no merit in their argument. We are huge.

Just kinda wanted to make a feel good thread about how great we are, how many wonderful players we've had from across the world. Truly a "big" and "world-class" club.

After Match of the Day, Shearer, Lineker and Micah did a top ten Spanish players in the PL.
Both Micah and Shearer chose Silva as Number 1 just ahead of Fabregas.

Kompany could run KdB close for Belgian title, different positions of course, but equally as inspirational. Chelsea fans would shout loud for Hazard.

Germany is a funny one, doesn't appear to be as many (big time) German players in the PL.
Sane had a go, Swinesteiger or whatever his name is, came at the end of his careeer, lasted a few months at the rags and buggered off to the MLS. Even Boeteng (yeah spelt wrong) only stayed a few months at City. Jurgan Klinsmann is most likely the nearest one to Gundogan

Klinsmann is a good shout. Ozil and Ballack were the two Germans that came to mind for me that could possibly get near Gundogan. Gundo clears for me though.

I think you could argue Ozil and even Didi Hamman for Germany? But I do think Gundo is clear.

Kun is not only the best Argentine, the only ones close I'd say are Tevez and Zabaleta.

I think we've had the best Bosnian, Algerian (either Mahrez or Benarbia), and Georgian as well. Sun Jihai the best Chinese player I'd think? Wanchope the best Costa Rican?

This is fun

As much as Ilkay plays for Germany, I’m in Turkey quite a lot and speaking to people there, he’s still considered very much to be one of their own.

There’s so much love for him over there (and Ozil) no matter which team they support, mention his name and you’re always greeted with a big smile, such a clever player.
