Car part (adblue tank in diesel car) is a known Peugeot-Citroen defect (recall for unvented cap and they didn't realise urea might corrode metal components). But the car is very low mileage for a diesel (37k) so it's taken nearly 7 years to be evident.

No legal redress I imagine, but I hope Citroen UK will contribute. Any ideas for consumer group or other pressure one might exert?

Cost of a new tank? £1200!

I run a fleet of partner vans and have this with one right now. Dealer only part, £1200 as you say and no recourse or warranty as the van is a 67 plate.

Well known fault, well known money spinner for them.

I’m just going to scrap the van and stay away from Peugeot from now on.

Outcome... Citroen paid 75% (and somehow a discount on the price of the part).
