With regards to the Hillsborough case and possible prosecutions. I keep seeing warnings on social media telling people not to comment on specifics about this case as they could be held in contempt of court or worse still jeopardise the whole case. If that is so, what it to stop friends of the accused doing exactly this and thus jeopardising the entire case ?

Well the person offering would be in even more trouble. The reality is that it would take something truly exceptional to derail such a high profile trial. It's a standard warning though
