Leicester City (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Clean sheet, City win... happy days.

Pleased for Erling and a decent cameo from McAtee who surely deserves more game time.

Foden looks mentally burnt out. Maybe he needs a proper holiday or something.
My brother just rang me buzzing about the win.
He also said ‘did you see what Foden was doing when he came off?’
Apparently he was rubbing and holding his stomach.
Maybe he’s got a stomach injury?
Might explain a lot.

3000 persons of the match today for me. I might be a bit OTT but when are fans r on it we have the best in the country. From min 1 it was non stop. City should be doing everything they can to make sure we have similar make up of fans for all aways. Compare to the Liverpool game when we were mute. It was superb today. Oh and were you listening Michael Owen you poisonous runt!
So loud Andy Townsend commented how amazing the Leicester fans were the whole game singing and chanting and sticking with their team. Gaslighting Shirley?

Why does that matter in the matchday thread? None of the players are trawling through Bluemoon while playing, so what does it matter? When it's abusive then fair enough but the idea that everyone should just post the equivalent of 'Come on City' is bizarre.
If that's the case, why post stuff like "pass the ball, FFS" in the match thread? As you said, none of the players will be reading it.

A new world, struggle for us all including Pep , the reaction to the second goal and the role James Mcatee played in it was really encouraging.

Or perhaps get behind the team for the 90 minutes? Radical, I know.
Great support from the travelling City fans today. But loyal and all as this crew are, what the fuck is he at must be going through heads after clown World mistakes. It is just that they don't have time to reflect upon fuckups as the singing is relentless. Sitting at home or in a pub many feel the need to vent.
Great result although they will be dissatisfied at not getting something out of the game. Thankfully a foundation to build on going into 25.

Exactly.

McAtee and O'Reilly wouldn't normally be near our main starting 11, But what they could both offer you at this current time is energy and legs to get around the football pitch.

It's clear as day we've lads that's completely dead on their feet and teams are out working us, That could change somewhat by giving these lads game time.
Foden looks like hes carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, never seems to smile.

Not quite sure why some folk on here are getting upset with what some mooners say on the match thread. When Gvardiol heads the ball to Steptoe in the first half do you expect no one to ask wtf he was doing? Or when players duck out of challenges the same? Maybe stay away from the match thread if your sensitivities may be compromised.
Players always make mistakes in games whether it's City or anyone else. Vincent Kompany made mistakes, scored ogs, so did Richard Dunne, Dave Watson etc. Constant moaning at the players and Pep when we're were winning is hard to fathom though - especially when we've been on such a dreadful run.

They were a credit, those fans who travelled. If I wore a cap, I'd doff it to them.

Take the 3 points however it's offered at this point. A win was crucial to stop the rot. That was the only objective and we achieved it so happy days.

There was some better, even good performances in there today that got us that win but overall it wasn't any different to the last few weeks in all honesty, it was a really poor attacking display from Leicester that got us the clean sheet and the points more than anything we did. A midtable side probably beats us today as we were just as open and vulnerable as we have been of late.

Gladly take the 3 points though and hope that at least lights a fire under the belly of a few and we can rely on individual performances to drag us up the table until we get much needed January reinforcements.
