Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

Best leave it Paul, based on the Grealish thread he has got weeks in him saying the same thing over and over again. If flags don’t add to the atmosphere then it begs the question why the club put them on every seat for the big home European games snd why the 1894 group go to great effort and expense on doing what they do in the south stand. Personally I think that thousands of flags being waved at the same time looks good and is visually much more of a positive than negative factor for the players. However it’s far easier to be a negative meany mouthed mocker and say “oh flags don’t matter”, it’s the same attitude as those who sit on their hands and thing it’s beneath them to sing and get behind the team. Some people put their energy into making negative comments on football threads. No wonder the atmosphere isn’t what it was
Was it the CFC EFL final where we had flags 'n they had scarves. The flag end won by a street for atmosphere!

Nah you’re not a prick because you live and work overseas, you’re a prick because you are a prick. To be fair to Paul I don’t know him but when I read his posts I like him and think proper Blue, when I read your posts I just yawn.

Thanks, though for balance I was recently called a boring negative prick by someone here in the last couple of days, lol.

The Watford fan who would fit in remarkably well with the FOCs in CBL3 put the whole experience in a nutshell - "We know who we are, and where we are!" And there but for the grace 'n money of The Good Sheik go MCFC.

I actually apologised to some great Watford fans after the game telling them there was lots of sides I'd rather have hammered like that than them.

The Watford fans were good, they waved their flags to the end!

I didn't get one bit of money talk, oil club, where were you when you were shit, they were a joy to actually talk football with for a change. They know as well as we do we won the lottery with the takeover, it still takes hard work for that to be turned into success though

Had a great weekend once again and took my 6 year old lad for his first trip to Wembley. Stayed at a different hotel this time (Holiday Inn Watford) Went Wetherspoons for a brekkie then onto Harrow took my lad around Wembley for an hour and ended up in O Neil's Watford after game.Tried to get in Crystal club beforehand and they said it was for Leicester fans (Probably a blessing)
City fans were well outnumbered and sombre in general, tried getting a few old songs going but got frowned upon like I had 3 heads .

Great day out good to get back and see old freinds, good turn out by our fans i believe we had as many in the ground as what they did, even if it was low key. Just a warm up for the real thing and getting back to watching live football every week and getting back to normal, as best we can.

. One of the most poignant moments of the FA cup final against Watford was when their end en mass started waving their flags at I think it was 5-0 down at that point. It looked fantastic and showed they were right behind their team even getting hammered in a showpiece game viewed around the world. Everyone in our end applauded them.
Have a load of respect for Watford as a whole after that game, they could have easily turned up and parked the bus, like so so many others would have done, and made a shit spectacle of it, but they didn't, they came and played the game in the right spirit and gave it a go and like I say, shit load of respect for them for that.
