Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

you have to want the ball and be ready for anything when the ball is in and around the box
ake did not want the ball and that is the key in pep teams. pep himself was shouting at ake for playing it to slow in the 2nd half. mental fitness is more of a issue and lack of game time and it will get you in trouble

nobody can moan about it ? we lost and did not play or turn up
but you know what in 8 months time if we are a winning manchester city and maybe champions league winners
then who will care about today
I never said anything about moaning about the performance... I guess you were responding to someone else. That said, I agree with you. Today's result means absolutely nothing, and i already don't care about it.

Bit of a borefest tbh. Very rusty, poor passing and shooting. Defending dodgy throughout, no surprise when a crass error settled it. Onwards and upwards.

Isn't the player he was?

There's barely any different to what he was 2,3,4,5 years ago and he proved that last season.
Disagree mate , Ndidi got the better of him in the first half , Dinho in his prime wouldnt of allowed it to happen , but its early doors and Dinho will not play every week and still has a lot to offer.

I have zero concerns about Fern right now, especially as he was so good at the end of last season. But, isn’t it a completely valid concern for people to have considering he’s 37?

What exactly is the concern?

You've just said how good he was at the end of last season. Why is his age being brought up?

All I've seen on socialmedia recently is how city have 2 teams. Today proved we don't. Our 2nd XI would not get top 6. The sooner the English lads gets back the better.

Yeah where we had to break records whilst relying on the teams above us to trip themselves up. What we achieved was incredible, it can not be relied on or expected every season
I don't think the other teams will be dismissing our chances just yet. I can't remember the last time we had a full preseason and we had the majority of our squad fit and available from the outset.

Pep admitted we had a poor pre-season last year and the team didnt get going until December , expect much the same this season , we will apply the after burners after xmas and win 20 on the bounce.
