Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

As I said there are more dickheads at Wembley cos we get more tickets, but also as I said calling your own players useless fucking cunts, or shouting get the fucking **** off for Jack at a young player (or indeed ant City player) is shithouse behaviour. I completely agree it’s not the majority doing it but it’s an unhealthy minority. I am an even more 60+ cantankerous old git. I can’t speak for other clubs cos I only watch City, but is has definitely got worse at City over the years, possibly in line with our success. Different opinions.
The main stand moaners at Maine Road took some beating. They only saw fault and never cheered the team.

But I agree with you. Yesterday we even had aggro between City "supporters" watching the game as well as calling players. WTF?

Entitlement plays a part but so is the growth of people pissed and coked up at matches. No fun to be sat by them.

Sorry mate, it will be entirely different at Spuds next weekend. I happen to think that our away support is second to none.

Every time we go to Wembley we have similar threads. Yes, pissed up dickheads on parade, so what? At least they went to support the team. It's a day out, with their mates, having a few sherberts. Spicy language, bit loud, pissed up....its a footy match. Christ on a bike.

Shock, horror, football fans slag off players. Been happening for decades, at EVERY club. I was near the Leicester fans in 501 and they were giving dogs abuse to some of their players. And guess what? Plenty of pissed up dickheads on parade in their end as well.

We have enough detractors without calling our own fans out. We are no different to any other fans in the country.

(and I'm a 50+ cantankerous old git before anyone asks)..
It’s not the having a few sherbets with your mates and the swearing that people get miffed about. It’s when those selfish twats invade your space, take up half your seat, constantly fall into you as they are too pissed to sit or stand straight and are up and down the row every 5 minutes whilst they take it in turns to go for a piss or whatever it is they do in the bogs. We too go to support our team on a day out without acting like cunts.
Fuck off

5 1/2 hours to get there in horrible weather and heavy traffic all the way (even on M6 toll). Got to Wembley and the stupid tw@ts had blocked loads of roads leading to the car parks. Saturday afternoon very busy apparently. Got to the yellow car park to be told the disabled parking was full, despite me pre booking a week ago. Absolute shambles of a set up at Wembley. On to the game, thought Leicester were better overall, but struggled to break us down and on the couple of occasions they did, Zak & Ake kept them out. City were sloppy & wasteful at times in posession. We didn’t really create much. The kids tried hard, but they’re not ready just yet. The penalty is down to dopey Rodri… this happens too often with him. Once Grealish gets up to speed he will be fantastic. Journey home only 3 1/4 hours… M40/42/6

Was anyone COVID checked? We weren’t asked and it wasn’t busy when we went into the ground
- Ordered the lateral flow tests for my two boys
- Downloaded the NHS app onto their phones
- Set up two NHS accounts
- Got them to take the tests
- Uploaded the test results earlier in the week to see that they appear in the app ok
- Redid the tests to get the 48 hours pass to get into Wembley
- On leaving restaurant to get into Wembley got the passes ready on their phones and mine to show to the stewards

But, no bugger asked to see them! What a waste of time..

It wasn't a great game to watch. God only knows why people travel to it.

It was meant to be ironic... I probably should have referred to the Rumbelows Cup :)

But thanks for your congratulations, even through gritted teeth. I go back as far, pobably further than you, and I have seen several classic defeats of Leicester City by Man City!
Saw my first City match in 1959,and, like yourself, have seen many league/cup games between the teams - some good, some not so good, and some pretty awful. I've nothing against your team or supporters, and have worked/ stayed in Leicester many times, and quite like the place.
From your location, I presume you weren't at the game. Neither was I, I'm just not fit enough atm. I should be OK for the first home match with a bit of luck - not had a good pre-season!

We must just be lucky with tickets didn't see any of that sort of shit, few pissed up on concourse but young lads and beer it happens.
