Leipzig Away - no fans in the stadium / Covid

We want to provide you with an update on your ticket for the Club’s UEFA Champions League match vs RB Leipzig on Tuesday 7th December following the announcement that the fixture will be played behind closed doors without supporters in attendance.

As previously stated, the Club will provide all supporters with a full ticket refund for this fixture.

The full fee will be returned to the payment card used to purchase the tickets within the next 7-10 days.

Until now the numbers in Hamburg and Hannover are much lower than in the East and South and Xmas markets started normally - just with special rules (often only jabbed or recovered, sometimes with an additional fast test - always with mask). I would check the numbers again on the weekend. If there is not big increases that probably will not change in the next two weeks.

Hospitals in the West and North are still taking patients from e.g. the Netherlands - whereas in the South and East surgeries get postponed and the hospitals are already full.

And if you go to Germany - have an FFP2 mask with you as in some areas you need them and not just a medical mask or even a cloth mask. With the FFP2 you cannot go wrong.
Thanks for the info. However, we decided to change our travel plans yesterday as we didn't want a situation where Hamburg/Hannover go into some kind of lockdown at the last minute and so scuppering our chances of changing our flights.

Anyway, as Easyjet are offering a fee-free change of flight we're now going to Tenerife. It's only cost us about £25 extra due to the slight difference in fares but our accommodation in Los Cristianos is cheaper than what our Germany accommodation would've been.

Went looking for the Blue Terrace Bar that got good reports on here (different thread that i now cant find) as a City Supporters Club to watch the Everton game. Spent a good half hour looking for it only to be told it shut about four years ago. Watched it in Taylors Lounge loads of screens and a great pint of IPA probably back there tonight for PSG game. We are supposed to be Flying out on Sunday morning, 10 of us ordered the day 2 Lateral Flow tests but can't use them now, and the PCR tests say you wont get your results back for 48 hours, meaning we won't be able to go to the match on Saturday or our Supporters club Christmas do on the Friday, I'm retired so the isolation doesn't bother me but a lot of people will have to miss work now on Thursday and Friday
