anyone ever stayed here? were camping here for the open...any info would be great

also what are the best places to drink in and around...weve looked at liverpool but its 20miles away..what about southport itself or ormskirk? anywhere else?

Southport is a great place to drink, lots of decent pubs with late drinking, avoid the clubs though, rip off places. Croston is also good, nice little place with two good pubs and a top chippy.

Not been for years but I have been told it is just like Paleblue says.
Decent pubs and it has the edge on Blackpool so I am told... mind you... even Gorton has the edge on Blackpool ;)
