Today BILD have released another article linking him with Barca, which says that Schalke were lying and he does in fact have a release clause.

It's a bad move in that you know there are 3 ahead of you but at 19 you get to learn from Messi, Neymar and Suarez knowing that 2 of which are approaching 30 and he would give them a genuine back up to be able to rotate with.

It does feel near impossible to compete with Barca, Real or Bayern at times when signing players, I'd love for us to swoop in and get him signed up but if Barca is sniffing I can't help but doubt.
