Leroy Sane - 2016/2017 performances

We as fans can't under-appreciate the value of a player who receives the ball, starts running and the whole crowd stands up. That is a mark of a world class player.

It's just great to watch, and with Jesus also providing a buzz there's just so much to enjoy watching City. It's a shame Jesus was injured, Aguero looked rusty, as you'd expect. From all accounts he doesn't train at a high level so he's never ready to step on the pitch from the bench and perform at 100%. The intensity in his game takes a while to come back.

What was good about the side last night is that despite Jesus' injury and Bournemouth's attempts to stop Sane who was so threatening throughout, they couldn't then cope with Sterling as well. That's the key to a great side.

Love him, very exciting to watch.

Good to see the tolerance being shown to him when he does make the wrong decision, doesn't finish, is dispossed or misplaces a pass. It's good to see the acknowledgement that this is down to him being raw and still honing his skills and decision making.

It does make me wonder why the same luxury is not afforded to Sterling though ( from a vocal minority ).

Pep on Leroy Sané: "The people say in the winter transfer window one guy arrived (Gabriel Jesus). I think two arrived."

Pep on Sané: "Leroy came here a little bit scared, but after the game against Arsenal, I think something clicked."

Pep on Sané: "He is only 21 years old. I am so happy for Manchester City. We have a good player for the next years."

Good point about the tolerance being shown when he plays a bad pass...people are now realising what a talent he is and just turned 21. I also think that the belief in Sterling is growing all the time and I think he is gradually winning over many fans this season with his overall play that were seriously doubting his ability to become a top player....and it's easy to forget he is still only 22. Could be very exciting times ahead.

Has a touch of the Robbens about him
When De Bruyne put him through for that chance in injury time I just thought that that was the kind of goal I've seen Robben score countless times in the past. Sané will get plenty of those for us, I'm sure.

Anyone who remembers that **** Giggs at 20/21, can testify that leroy is extremely similar. He's got more about him than Robben in terms of ability to play right across the top!!

Easily one of the most gifted young players in football. Playing under easily the most gifted young coach of his generation. What can go wrong?
Watch it and drink it in, as a wise man once said.

Everything about him reminds me a lot of fake Ronaldo at the same age, minus the petulance and needless showboating.

I agree with an earlier post about it being great to have a player, who when he receives the ball, the whole crowd rise to their feet in anticipation.....Haven't had that since Adam Johnson's early days.
