People are giving him too much credit for his performance against England.

I thought he was okay but didn't do anything to stand out or impress. In fact, I thought (apart from getting a great save from Hart) he was wasteful in the final third and indecisive.

Clearly he wasn't trying too hard and it was a friendly, but let's not dish out too many superlatives about an average performance.

Probably worried about getting beaten if he over commits to the press, don't blame him with that useless twat behind him.

Seemed to lose concentration often today. Let the ball run out a few times and was often caught napping in an offside position. Need to improve focus, his football game is excellent.

A lot today,mind you so did Anelka,and he turned out to be sweet for us,just like this kid will,he's a good un this lad,comparisons with Sterling are a million miles off,he's far more smarter than Sterling will ever be,but the stat boys will be out in force once they've let the dust settle on how bad Sterling was again today
