Leroy Sane - 2018/2019 performances

Since he was left out v Schalke his performances on the whole have been quite lacking. Makes me think he started sulking like a teenager as a result of this perceived slight.

Certain players (i.e Aguero) seem to have been on the wrong side of Pep and have risen to the challenge, and changed/improved. Loads of others (Sterling, etc) have clearly been improved by actually listening to Pep.

It's up to Sane. Do what the rest of the squad has done, help yourself, help the club. Or leave. And if he leaves because he can't show the respect the others have it's no loss at all. Toxic "player power" takes hold when a manager loses one of these power struggles. It baffles me why any fan would side with Sane here. And why people seem think Pep for some reason hates him and deliberately doesn't play the guy to the detriment of our chances... madness. We're winning LITERALLY every game with Sterling-Aguero-Bernardo up front. That's sort of the definition of Best XI, right?

We all probably agree that Sane has the potential to rise close to Ballon D'or level hence the frustration from all sides when he makes basic mistakes but why does that means he's leaving??

Nope he's definitely right on this.

That LaPorte ball was a shocker and was just hit in between both Zinchenko and Sane.

Neither knew who it was for and both left it for the other.

The only one of the 3 to get the abuse from Pep was Leroy.

Cards are marked at this stage.
Given it was Walker who passed it I'm not sure why Laporte would get abuse.

Sané is to stay wide, he repeatedly drifted inside and Pep was by all accounts (for a third time) going mad at him right before the goal as he clogged the entire middle of the pitch by practically playing CF when Laporte then Kompany had the ball.

Our players are used to where each other are on the pitch so when Walker tries to switch the play he expects Sané or whoever the winger is to be on the touchline. Bad pass still, yes, but I'm gonna trust Pep for knowing who wasn't doing what they should have.

I'm not gonna flip flop on my faith in Pep just because my favourite player is getting scolded by him.

Me neither, even though I think we'll regret it you have to back Pep.

I was referring to the earlier incident against Burnley and not the Walker one btw. Pep went apeshit at Leroy and it was in no way his fault. The ball was simply a terrible pass. History has shown that if Pep doesn't like you, he'll do this. From Ibra to Etoo, he's form for it.

Such a great manager we have to trust him, but I still won't like it.

Sane doesn't seems to care anymore after his row with Guardiola. You can see it in his playstyle. Slow pressing, not tracking back when the opponent is attacking.
He has a laid back style as he always has done, not great to accuse a young player of not caring, maybe he is a better starter than a sub

There are some articles about it. Anyway they definitely have something between them. Guardiola touchline antics against Sane in the Leicester match wasn't your average cup of tea. We don't know for sure, but you can sense it.

Pep did the exact same thing during that game to Walker and Foden.
