It's entirely speculative but I'm surprised there haven't been any rumours of Dortmund getting involved and trying to nick him from Bayern. Some sort of swap deal of Sane for Sancho would make some sense if Sane refuses to sign a new deal and wants to return to Germany.

They did tweet his return earlier, then removed it to remove his nike logo's, and then tweeted it again, and as many have pointed out, he wasn't part of much of the end of last season, so perhaps isn't considered "fab" at the moment.

Lets just say he isn't in Pep's good books.
