Does anyone believe they could become the best partnership in the league when they develop an understanding of each others playing style? Both dominant in the air (especially Lescott) but Toure seems more cool and composed on the ball, he seems more of a 'thinking' centre half. I'm really glad we've got such premiership experienced / established players at the club.

The other thing I'm really glad about is that they are both a threat from corners and it's been a long time since our centre halves were a threat from set pieces!

very good point on the set pieces. I actually feel we are a threat from them for the first time in quite a few seasons.

I am not sure whether they will be the best but definately 1 of the best especially once they understand eachother properly.

I dont know. I'll never fully have faith in a City defense because we've been so poor at it for so long!

Imo the best partnership has to be Ferdinand and Vidic.

They are both 6ft 2 as is Lescott, Toure is just abit smaller at 6ft.

We have a left and right footed defender which is great and they both are good at set pieces

well we got two class players both good going forward(lescott-in the air, toure has a fine straight shot) lescott may have to improve in defensive duty. i d still wish we kept dunny! it would have given us great cover for the whole season. speaking of.... shay is class a will do well this season. i expect a good start, may struggle from time to time. a great season would see us finish like pool last year.it will be tight up at the top(hope we re in it)....so far were look to struggle but got the results

If you could just imagine having TWO Dave Ewings in the team . . . . . . Staggering!

...just thank god we have someone of Elanos quality to deliver those set piece balls in to the box.....

doh!
Elano is a top quality player, unquestionable but, sometimes ... fuck it, a LOT of the time his corners and crossing were piss-poor.

Moving swiftly forward, We have a midfield of Barry,De Jong,Ireland, SWP, Tevez none of whom are shite at distributing the ball.

So let the good times roll :-)
