I have heard some ridiculous statements about these 2 players.

People slagging these 2 players after about 4 games with each other ! give them time because they are class players otherwise hughes wudnt have signed them so all you lot having a go at either of them just shut up and get behind them ffs because no matter who it is when they are wearing the blue of city then i will get behind them

Sky sports and some people on here said Toure had a shocker, what game was they watching?

his marking was bad for the fletcher goal, but apart from that he won everything and intercepted about 20 passes and everytime he went to ground he won the ball, he muscled rooney off the ball quite alot, i think he was the only defender for us yesterday who could take some credibility from the game, bridge was average, lescott was average, richards... well i won't even go there.

I think Toure has been a class apart from other central defenders we've had over the past few decades, not sure about lescott yet. However it worries me that many Arsenal fans did say Toure wasn't strong in the air when we bought him and it has to be a worry that Darren Fletcher scored two headers. They may be the best central defenders we've had in many a year and I would say they're definetly good enough to help win us a domestic cup but only time will tell if these two are good enough to actually take the team on to winning a league title.

Yaya and Kolo after transfer window if we're lucky, that'd be such a solid pair!!!

I think people look at the fee we paid for Lescott and then expect miracles from him, he's never worth what we paid for him but he's not to blame for the fee.

A work in progress and will take time to get used to each other, but both are top class internationals and are potentially the best pairing we've had since Dave Watson/Mike Doyle.
I've also been a bit puzzled by some of the criticism. If your full backs can't stop crosses getting in time after time, then sooner or later someone's going to get on the end of em.
Still, though, I'd be tempted to use Komps or even Ned against the likes of Carew, Crouch and that monster Austrian Wolves have just signed. Choices, options and competition are great - especially when they don't involve Tal Ben Haim . . .

Both excellent players who will do very well for us.However, when Kompany returns,i'd like to see him alongside Toure with Lescott replacing Bridge. The dippers always maintained left back was his best position.
