Now that the decision has been made, we should support Roberto Mancini 100%. We don't need any more polls, except possibly where players are concerned. He won the Italian League three times in succession (and recently too) so he should know what the job entails. Come on City.

Nail on head, for me.

Hughes is the past, the treatment of him was dissettling but needs to have a line drawn under it. I don't want to hear idiot conspiracy theories about how and why he went, I'd rather talk about our new man.

To me, Mancini is an exciting manager to have at the club, but I watch a shitload of Italian football. His Inter team was unstoppable and steamrollered the league for several years in a row.

He's also younger than Hughes. I said in another thread that I was disappointed that we didn't give him time to build a dynasty, maybe Mancini will get that time, as he is a Khaldoon appointment and not a Shinawatra appointment.

I'm excited to be a City fan at the moment, and can't wait to hear him on Monday.

I think until the Stoke game people will be discussing their opinion. Hopefully we get a good result and Hughes will be a distant memory.

Also, he must be good because his name kind of sounds like Man City. He's our Wenger. Born for the job.

He should be a model.

My GF seems to think he is pretty hot anyway, therefore has her full backing.

Hughes and his boys are still in the City player frieze though...

The manner of Hughes sacking was unfortunate to say the least but I was a waverer after recent disappointments and frustrations. Hopefully Mancini won't be tainted by the treatment of Hughes and I'll be in full support come next week against Stoke.

Yes, but the following page gives a 404 error. They're on to it alright :)

Agreed, especially the point about Mancini's age. Hiddink for me is too old now, we need an ambitious, young manager rather than a short term solution. I have some concerns about Mancini, but nevertheless i'm going to get behind him and give him the support which he deserves as our manager.
