Okay, cards on the table.

My first game was Chelsea 70-71, so I never quite witnessed the halcyon days of Bell, Lee, and Summerbee. However, I was saw most of 76-77, and I’ve had a Season Ticket since 81-82.

Kidd and Royle: never quite get the credit they deserved.

Channon: a decent striker when our main priority should have been a goalscoring midfielder.

Robinson: apart from a spectacular goal v the rags, I’m struggling.

Roger Palmer:underrated

Trevor Francis: right man at the wrong time.

David Cross: a turning point in the wrong direction.

Parlane: late winner at Elland Road almost got me battered.

Melrose scoring from the Fallowfield car park against Notts County.

Davies and Lillis: celebration after the diving header v Watford.

Varadi: bananas, and all that
Adcock: winning goal at Millwall
Biggins: ran around a lot

Moulden’s family owned a chippy, but Machin preferred Morley.

Allen was the better player, but Oldfield scored in the 5-1

Kendall bought Quinn, and then it all seemed to change for the better.

Wait a minute?

Did somebody mention White, and Carl Shutt?

Where’s Mike Sheron when you need him?

Walsh and Rosler arrived, and then Kavashvilla scored against the rags.

Then it all went pear shaped and Bradbury was a tosser.

Paul Dickov? Gareth Taylor? Bob Taylor? Tim Brooke Taylor ?

Goater became a hero, and for one brief moment, we assumed that Vuoso was the final piece in the jigsaw

Macken arrived, and then scored the winner at Tottenham.

Fowler? lacked hunger

Anelka? lacked motivation

Wanchope? lacked fitness

Sibierski? lacked hair

Cole and Vassell: yesterday's heroes competing for tomorrow’s trophies.

Samaras: weak

Corradi: wooden

Bianchi: forgotten

Sturridge: injured

Evans: imprisoned

Jo: hopeless

Benjani: clumsy

Adebayor: offside

Caicedo: even more clumsy

Bellamy: aggressive

Tevez: popular

Dzeko: then it all changed.

5-1 v Tottenham ,6-1 v United (2011-12

Crucial goals at Palace, Everton, and at home to Villa (2014)

Always seemed to score against the rags

Oh, and the other goal v QPR

Will never be as popular as Aguero, but…………..

Kinkladze ? Bianchi we will never know what could have been . As for Edin , scored some big time goals for us , but after Navas one of the most frustrating players I have ever watched

Sibierski , lacked hair , Lol

I know what could have been...League bloody One with Pearce and Bianchi!

Say what you want about the lad being a Mard-arse and that he runs a bit like a gazelle but he popped up time and time again with crucial goals (Wigan & that game against QPR spring to mind) without him I feel our recent trophy haul might look a little different.

We could do with a Dzeko figure these days
