letter to FA ( warning longish )

Dear SIrs

Can you please help to clarify some mystifying decisions being taken and up held by the F.A

After watching highlights of Manchester United v Blackburn i was left feeling like i was watching WWE wrestling due to the amount of cheating and what seemed like match fixing!

I have 2 major points and one suggestion

Point 1

Christiano Ronaldo, once again kicking out at an opponent ( David Dunn ), which was seen on television coverage.. This is not the first time he has done this, He also kicked out at Tottenhams Michael Dawson and a Stoke City player earlier in the season. No action was taken!

Can you please tell me that you will now charge him and ban him for 3 matches like you did to Shaun Wright Phillips of Manchester City. For exactly the same offence..

My biggest grievance is Shaun Wrigh Phillips is an English Player, who does not dive, conducts himself very well on and off the pitch, he does not dive or harass referees and is an important part of the England National teams future, yet you see fit to punish him very quickly.

Mr Christiano Ronaldo , Portuguese player, constantly cheating, diving, trying to get players booked, harassing referees, and if i remember rightly playing a big part in getting England eliminated in Euro 2006...

I find it astonishing that once more the F.A can turn a blind eye to this.

My 2nd point is some of the decisions being made by referees towards the so called big 4.
Yesterday Blackburn were denied a clear penalty, ROnaldo should not have been on the pitch to score the goal, Raphael was last man when he pulled back Pedersen for the penalty and subsequently should have been sent off..

Again please explain...

My suggestion is on Refereeing...

The standard is pathetic and there is a huge bias towards Liverpool,Chelsea and especially MAnchester United...

Your referees are inept and too scared to make correct decisions,, i think it is about time that you start employing foreign impartial referees to officiate games...

Football is becoming a farce and the F.A seem to have there heads in the sand...

Good letter that, but cant see anything being done about..I aso heard on the radio this morning(as this a major debate) that taggart was calling for the ref to come out and publically explain the reason why he disalowed evens' goal.....
What the fuck is all that about.The refs decission is final twaty deal with it is what i say. Does he not realise they get away with enough...

While I agree with your general premise, I don't quite understand what your point about SWP being English and that rag twat being Portugese is. Surely, you're not suggesting England regulars should receive preferential treatment over foreigners?

Well i've got to give you credit for being the first poster on here to target their fire at the correct target. The standard of refereeing in this country used to be the envy of the world. Referees like Neil Midgeley and Clive Thomas would be spinning in their graves to witness the spineless arrogant overpaid prima donnas that currently officiate our game. Sure, they made mistakes, but they were HONEST mistakes, made without fear or favour. The referees we have these days are so intimidated when they referee the 'big' clubs, that they are no longer capable of doing the job properly, and your suggestion that we use foreign referees needs careful consideration.
