Liam Delap - Ipswich player 2024-25

Unlike others I feel like this is a good loan for him. First he needs to compete with strikers within his own team and he needs to learn to become incredibly clinical with the few chances to make a difference. If we does well here he would have grown as lot when he comes back.
Are you posting in instalments? I'm looking forward to seeing what your second point is :)

I wonder if a little and large partnership up front with Wright Phillips could be the way to go for Stoke.

Might produce a few more chances.

At least he was in the starting line-up. Even if does not score he can demonstrate that he will work hard and cause problems for the opposition. Difficult to do that from the bench as some of our other lads have found out in recent times.

Has Rory Delap been sacked too? Seems strange that we’d send him on loan there when there was uncertainty over the manager’s future.

We do seem to have some problems arranging loans for our players at times.

Rory Delap has been part of the last 3 managers coaching staff and was caretaker last time they sacked Nathan Jones, so I presume he's going to stay, might even be caretaker again.

But you never know if the next manager is going to have a bad attitude towards loanees, or just prefer Gayle, Campbell or Brown.

Manager who brought you in being sacked isn’t great, but tbh I doubt the club chose Stoke, I reckon the player chose Stoke because of his dad and family connection to the club

If Dyche arrives,as is being touted.....its perfect for Delap IMO.
