Liam has been included in the England men’s under-20s squad has been named for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina later this month.
Big opportunity for him to salvage something from this season - I wish him the best of luck.

One bad season in the Championship (his first full season at senior level) doesn't make him a bad player - and seems a stupid time to sell. His value is on a dip.
Look at Lukas Nmecha. His first season on loan he got 4 goals in 44 appearances compared to Delap's 4 in 37.
Then he had an even worse second season splitting his time between Wolfsburg and Middlesbrough scoring 0 in 25.
Finally he had a loan at Anderlecht - a much easier team for him to fit into stylistically and he we was soo good Wolfsburg, who he had flopped at on loan, came back in for him for decent money.
I say give Delap a loan somewhere like the Belgian league, Eredivisie or SPL and watch him score goals and then make our money on him.

I'm glad you specified it was the men's U20's.... i'd not have known otherwise ;)
Yeah makes no sense to sell after the season he's just had. Wait for the good loan and then cash in. Doubt we would have got much for Doyle after his hamburg loan, but we'll get 10 mil plus this summer. Delap needs to drop to a level he can score at and then work his way back up.

England's first game in the FIFA under 20 World Cup versus Tunisia kicks off this evening at 19:00.

Liam Delap and Callum Doyle are the City representatives in the squad which also includes ex blue Sam Edozie. Callum will join the squad once the play-offs with Coventry are done.
Alex Scott (Bristol City) is the potential star man.
Hoping Liam can do something in this tournament to earn a decent loan or transfer for next season.

The centre forward selected was Dane Scarlett of Tottenham who scored the only goal of the game with a header. Scarlett spent last season on loan at Portsmouth in League 1 playing 34 times - many as a sub - and scoring 4 goals.
Samuel Edozie started the game as a wide forward.
Hopefully Liam can get some playing time against Uruguay on Thursday. They started strongly beating Iraq 4-0.

Another game languishing on the bench for Liam as England beat Uruguay 3-2. Next match is against Iraq at 7pm on Sunday 28th.

Delap unfortunately had a penalty superbly saved in first half stoppage time, for England in their 0-0 draw with Iraq, and was substituted in the 69th min. We finished top of the group and play Italy on Tuesday 10.00pm in the last 16.
