Backlight. My screen on my laptop seems to have gone a bit darker than normal. Has the backlight gone on it's way out? Can I repair it myself or does it need doing professionally?

Someone (can't remember who) did a thread on this on off topic not so long back, said the part was gonna be £20 off Ebay and was a simple DIY job. If you're not happy having a go yourself then get 2 or three quotes from different computer/repair places, depending on the age of the laptop it might be well worth it mate.

I'm a lucky fooker! The IT engineering department at the wifes work had a slow day and sorted it out for me!
