Just been reading an article on Bordeaux and how it’s all gone wrong there. Real shame as they seem like a proper club. Had some great players in the past

They used to have a guy called Yoann Gourcuff. he was the next Zidane. shame he had injury problems. Their stadium is also world class.

Watched the St Etienne game as they are the French team who's results I look out for, I think its the kit that attracted me.

As others have said awful scenes at the end, tbh though they've had an awful season and relegation is hardly a suprise. They got rid of Claude Puel (remember him) far too late.

Even though they've not won the league for 40 years they are tied with PSG for most league titles, their average attendances are around 5th/6th in the division, it's probably the equivalent of someone like Spurs going down.
St Étienne was probably the first French club that I was aware of.

Dominique Rocheteau and all that.

I go an watch Bordeaux, it's a massive shame what's happened. But they're fucked. No money, new owner doesn't seem great.

The stadium is fantastic, probably the best i've been to. The Ultras are class too.
