I think it's shoddy treatment of Barca's best ever player. Imagine if Kun was in same situation and wanted to leave. I am 100% sure Soriano would just let him go after the loyalty and service he has given us. We'd have give him a great send off and wished him luck. No way would we say you can't go and keep an unhappy player. Messi's heart isn't going to be in it, whatever he says.
I think by going to the press and saying they haven't kept their word is trying to get the public opinion on his side, and common decency prevails and they say let him go, why keep an unhappy player
