New president will offer him even more money and he will stay don't understand why people waste time even thinking about Messi moving from Barca

Doesn't he bring in more money than he takes out?

I can't keep up with it all but I'm sure Barca can and will find a way to make it work.
I think in La Liga they have salary caps for the whole team, Barca's cap keeps getting cut during the pandemic because their revenue sources are drying up. Figure being floated around is Barca have to have their wages under 347m euros.

I find the Messi makes more money for Barca than he earns point an interesting one.

If that is the case, if he makes the club a substantial amount of money which is more than he’s getting paid, then why should he agree to any sort of pay cut next season?

He’s essentially paying for himself so why should he lose out on that income he generates?

Him taking a pay cut is basically him paying for Barca’s mismanagement.

Laporta has been very clever recently by implying that if Messi leaves then it’s purely to do with money. He’s mentioned that Barca can’t pay for other clubs can but says they can offer a sporting project to match anyone.
It’s all creating a narrative for Messi to be the bad guy should he leave.

If he's honestly just deciding purely on the sporting project then I'm not sure what he thinks Barca can offer him, Eric Garcia on a free isn't the most convincing projects one can offer. Obviously there's the sentimental factor but as far as projects go, there's only one winner.

How much can they do in around 2½ months to convince him, given their present circumstances?
