Laporta also has said he has no stress with Messi‘s contact expects him to sign after the copa. Then he goes onto say Barca will win the champions league next year. That they have Made competitive signings and that they shouldve won against PSG this year

Maybe the loan is what they have all been waiting for to conclude this extension.

Or maybe it is more than a financial issue. Should know soon enough.



What is interesting is this mention of Messi signing after the Copa, which I haven't seen but happily believe it. That would certainly be after his contract has run out, depending on how far Argentina go. Will they really continue to pursue him after he has effectively left, and would he listen? How long would he fancy being unemployed before comitting to either Barcelona or any other club.
