Clubs like Barcelona wind me up
They talk about being this massive club right
Yes in last thirty years they have been successful but how many European cups had they won up to 2006....1
How many leagues between 1960 and 1990....2
Football goes in cycles and these cunts along with dippers, Madrid and united think they own it
They stole their identity from Ajax anyway
More than a club my arse

Goodness me.

I know this is me being naive but realistically what does the loan-giver get out of this? They might never get the money back for starters.

3 per cent interest plus upfront fees… At the end of 15 years Barca won’t have the money so another facility will need to be arranged.

It will take years and years for them to realise they are not the entitled ones, probably a generation.

Nearly £16m in intrest only & thats if they keep up the payments

Wonder if £50m of it will be Messi wages?

Mad what a few superstars and a PR team can do. I can’t wait for the generation in a decades time to know nothing other than City success.

Could be indicating that they cant afford to keep Messi.
The expectation from Messi would be to sign an extension while taking a paycut and stay another season or two. And he will probably take it, last year was his best chance for a move imo, and unfortunately I think it's passed.

But the hype works in term of turnover and it will work in terms of restructuring their debt.

Barca are in trouble but they will never go bankrupt, which in most other businesses they would.

so? Seems a good deal to me.

On the face of it yes… but their credit profile will be awful so a big chunk of what they have borrowed will probably be paid back to the lender as an upfront fee. It looks a good deal 3 per cent but that’s PR. They are ploughing deeper and deeper into debt and their terms of borrowing will undoubtedly be declining… the more they borrow the grater the risk… hence the higher the cost. I don’t know Barca’s finances but they may be paying up to £50m interest pa on £1.2bn debt.

According to Laporta "Aguero is helping. He is telling him every day to stay."

Whether it is bullshit or not aside, very very telling, almost a slip if you would. If he needs convinced to stay, by his best mate new signing, shows more where this might really be at, than any other of his positive claims.
