in my opinion this is absolutely dead in the water, grasping at straws here, i personally believe we have as much chance of signing Messi right now as we did 2 hours before the 2015 CL final. HOWEVER, i must say this is all extremely interesting and could definitely see a world in which a huge twist arises. i don’t think it’ll happen at all but i guess stranger things have
Plus, Brian Kidd as next Barca PresidentYea and Gundo, Cancelo, Jesus and the latest is Ederson is signing for them.
what i get from all this: messi actually gave barca the go ahead and agreement to the renewal a few weeks ago, theyve had to rush negotiations in the last week or so since they werent making enough progress to sign it before the 30th june deadline, now barca have managed to finish the agreement but ffp regulations is stopping them from getting messis signature and annoucing it, they cant get messi to sign it without 100% knowing whether he will be allowed to play or not, and this is what laporta is sorting out as we speak
whether he manages to find a solution is the question
I can think of two players that either side need to say goodbye to.I'm sensing that this friendly we're playing them in must be some sort of charity fundraising game to help them out. No other credible explanation.

and im not including Garcia
The idea of this friendly makes no sense other than us trying to help Barca out. They hate us and have done for years so why would we help them by playing a friendly at their place after the season has started?
Maybe the Messi goodbye stuff has some legs…
Play first half for Barca. Signs contract on the pitch at halftime. Then plays second half for City. Makes sense to me :-)Imagine the PPV though?
Messi goodbye, sell out crowd, sponsors, global television audience.
I bet someone could make £50m from it.
