This seems reasonable. My guess is City won’t go all in until it’s clear and obvious Messi has zero avenue back to Barcelona. Once that happens though.. can’t imagine Tixi and Pep not giving it their all.
With all other players the argument you say holds. But not with messi. He has a different personality. This is a player that has played for one club up till possibly (2years) till retirement.I don’t get this argument.. We’ve just signed a player from a club that he supported all his life, his family are season ticket holders. If he at 25 can move to a new club causing utter outrage and anger then Messi can move to a club and make new friends! Add in to the fact he love Pep so… Not for one minute suggesting he’ll join us but to say he won’t because he has mates at PSG is daft.

Or go to a club where your friend Pep is who you respect, admire and learn from and will see daily?
